Meet Josip Brusić
Josip Brusic is a Canadian skeleton athlete who built his foundation in speed and power through sprinting with the Caltaf Athletic Association in Calgary. He moved from Croatia to Canada as a teenager, carrying a strong competitive drive that shaped his development in sport. After several years in track and field, he shifted into skeleton, where his acceleration and strength translated into fast starts and steady progression on the international circuit. He trains and lives in Whistler and works on the same sliding track he races on, giving him a close understanding of ice, conditions, and daily preparation. He has earned national titles, represented Canada at major events, and continues to push toward the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics with a focus on consistency, speed, and technical growth
Josip is competing in selection races across North America and Korea as he pursues his dream of qualifying for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games.
All proceeds from this event will go toward supporting Josip’s training, travel, and competition expenses during this crucial season.
